Charlie and I didn't register for china, mostly because we figured that we'd never use it, but also because it all looked so granny-ish. I've reconsidered though, after finding this casual china from Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler . It's casual enough for every day, but also nice enough for company. We totally love our dishes from Crate&Barrel, but I'm thinking it would also be nice to have a fun option. One of these sets is going on my Christmas wishlist!
Love the layered look of the Kate Spade "Wickford" Sea Cliff collection
Jonathan Adler Greek Key Collection
We didn't register for the same reason. And I am dying to build cabinets in our next home- just a few select ones- that have glass in the middle so I can show off a few fancy dishes/china. My mom and grandma both collected the Currier and Ives blue dishes. I really like the red ones And the green ones so I think I'm going to start hunting around antique shops for them and see what color I can find, since they don't make them anymore. Hmm. You may have inspired me for another blog topic. I really like the yellow plate you posted! It's a happy plate.
