I finally have another project to share! This is the before shot of the long hallway that leads to all of our bedrooms and bathrooms:
It doesn't receive much natural light, so I kept in bright by painting it BM Super White on the walls, ceiling, and trim. We changed out the light fixtures and added the second light at the end of the hallway (not seen in before pic). These lights will be upgraded later, but for now we just put up a couple of super cheap fixtures that aren't hideous "boob" lights. We also had to replace the attic ladder, all the doors and hardware, updated the doorbell cover, and put in a new thermostat and air return grill.
This 22' long jute runner fits the hallway perfectly (and it's a total steal!). At the end of the hall you can get a little preview of the updates that have happened in our master bedroom. We're waiting on a few doors to get delivered and installed before I post the reveal.
I'm obsessed with this Nate Berkus woven wall art. It looks like they're sold out of the large size online, but they still have the smaller version!
This is the view towards the music room/secondary guest bedroom that you've seen me post about on instagram. It is definitely one of the brightest rooms in the house. I think I've finally settled on a paint color, so I've ordered the sleeper sofa and poufs to finish it out. I'm also hoping to finish up this project soon!
I have a dreary hallway that is similar and love your ideas. I'm inspired to make my own wall art out of a Native American looking rug that has been sitting in a closet for years and will shop for a jute rug. The dark doors add contrast. Thank you Stacy!
